The Halifax 2011 Canada Games will generate an estimated $125 million in economic activity leaving a legacy of new and upgraded recreational facilities, trained volunteers, community, culture, and sport development.

In 100 days, 3,600 athletes, coaches and managers, 1,000 VIPs, and more than 5,000 volunteers will gather in Halifax to take part in the largest multisport event held in Nova Scotia.

The 2011 Games welcomes Nova Scotian artists Chris O'Neill and Ken Schwartz as artistic directors of the National Artist Program.
