On Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at approximately 3:30 pm, Halifax Regional Police responded to 21 Mic Mac Boulevard for a report of a theft.
Upon arrival it was learned that a black male had grabbed a females cell phone from her and fled the area on foot, along with two other males. The suspects fled towards Brookdale Cresent, where they encountered another female walking on the street. The same male punched the female in the face and took her purse.
Members continued to respond and located the males near Prince Albert Road. The young offender suspect was arrested without incident and will be attending court to face two counts of robbery. The second victim was not injured and did not require medical treatment at the scene.
