On Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at approximately 10:40 am, members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Service - East Patrol Division attended to Turner Street, Glace Bay on concerns for a suicidal male.

The male had left the area and fled near wooded location near the Passcehndale Golf Course.  A 64 yr old male was taken into custody with the assistance of the K-9 Unit and transported to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act ( IPTA ) and also faces a charge of threats.

Anyone with information on any suspicious incident, or who witnesses suspicious activity or persons in the area, is asked to contact the Cape Breton Regional Police at 563-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 562-8477 and online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
