Most Hit The autopsy of a man found deceased in a Bilby Street residence on Monday has concluded that the death is a homicide.


On Monday, June 27, 2011 at 12:17 pm, police responded to a report of a sudden death at a residence located at 5529 Bilby Street in Halifax.  A friend had gone to the residence to check on the homeowner and discovered a deceased person.  The man has been identified as 32-year-old Shawn Andrew Mead and an autopsy conducted yesterday determined his death to be a homicide.  While investigators do not have an exact time of death, they believe the homicide may have occurred approximately three to four weeks ago.  Investigators are interested in speaking with anyone with information regarding the victim’s activities during that time period.
