On Thursday, June 16, 2011 at approximately 8 pm, Patrol Officers responded to a drug complaint in the area of Pinecrest Drive.
Upon arrival, a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the complaint was observed leaving the area. The officers, assisted by members of the East Quick Response Unit, stopped the vehicle in the area of Primrose Street and Victoria Road. The two men in the vehicle were arrested, and a subsequent search resulted in a quantity of marijuana and cash being seized.
A 26-year-old Halifax man and a 22-year-old man from Upper Hammonds Plains are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
