A man faces charges after a traffic stop last night in Clayton Park.
Acting on information, officers assigned to the West Quick Response Unit conducted a traffic stop at 7 pm in the area of Dunbrack Street and Langbrae Drive. A man was arrested without incident and officers located a quantity of marijuana and cash.
A 46-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face a charge of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The Quick Response Unit is an important part of the Halifax Regional Police crime reduction strategy, with a separate unit for each of our three divisions. The members in these Units usually work in a plain clothes capacity and address crime and quality-of-life issues.
