A check of a vehicle in Halifax early this morning has resulted in one man facing drug trafficking charges.
On Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:40 am, Patrol Officers conducted a check of a vehicle in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Lower Water Street in Halifax.
As officers approached the vehicle they could smell marijuana which resulted in two men and one woman being arrested without incident. A subsequent search resulted in the officers locating a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana and cash on one of the men.
Twenty-five-year-old Tyler Bradley Richards of Halifax faces charges of breach of probation and two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. The other two occupants of the vehicle were released without charges.
