On Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 1:01 a.m., Members of the RCMP - Parrsboro, Amherst and Oxford Detachments responded to a single, motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 in Moose River, just outside of Parrsboro.

Bo Lattie, 19 years old, of Five Islands, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the lone occupant in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The investigation is continuing.
