On Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 6:36 pm, the Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a Theft complaint at the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission Outlet at the Sobeys Store, Reserve Street in Glace Bay.
Two males had grabbed bottles of liquor and ran from the store to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot. The police obtained the license plate number and a description of the vehicle as well as obtained video surveillance evidence and continued with the investigation.
Shortly after midnight a 20 year old male was arrested for Theft of liquor in regards to this incident. The male was also wanted for failing to attend court, and will face additional charges for failing to abide by a previous issued undertaking. The male is in custody and will be appearing in court on the morning of September 2, 2010.
The investigation continues and the Regional police are actively looking for the second male involved in the incident.
