On Friday, August 27, 2010, at 2:36 p.m., Members of the RCMP - Amherst and Oxford Detachments, responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 104 in Fenwick.

Amherst Fire Department utilized the jaws of life to remove the two occupants from the vehicle. Both were taken to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre and treated for non-life threatening injuries. During the collision, the occupants pet dog was ejected from the vehicle.

The RCMP are seeking the public's assistance with the return of the dog. Police have learned that the dog may have been picked up at the scene by someone. The dog is a three year old Border Collie named "Buddy". If you have any information on the whereabouts of this dog please contact the Amherst Detachment at 1-902-667-3859. This will assist in the safe return of the dog to it's owners.
