On Saturday, August 14, 2010 at approximately 3:00 am, Cape Breton Regional Police received a report of a stolen 1995 Ford Ranger, black in color, Nova Scotia license plate ENY 348 from Sydney Mines area.

The vehicle had been last seen at the residence on August 13 at 9:00 pm.

Cape Breton Regional Police Central Division located the vehicle at approximately 5:20 am parked behind Central Fire Station Esplanade.

Information obtained that two persons had fled from the vehicle prior to Police arrival. Cape Breton Regional Police K-9 Unit and Patrol Unit searched the area but were unable to locate the person or persons responsible.

Two motorcycles were located in the back of the truck.They are described as;

• Kawasaki 80 dirt bike, green in color
• Giovanni Motorsport dirt bike, yellow in color

It is believed that both motorcycles were stolen and Police have not identified the owners.
