Riders take to the road for the 2nd Annual BikeFest this weekend, and Cape Breton Regional Police are reminding motorists to be cautious of extra motorcycle traffic in the area.

The schedule includes numerous organized rides and motorists should be aware of the potential for large numbers of motorcycles travelling together in groups.

Police also advise motorists to expect some traffic delays as a result of several BikeFest activites:

Friday, July 30th, 8:00 AM - Monday, August 2nd

  • Mitchell Street, Liberty Street and Prince Andrew Drive are closed to traffic. , 12:00 PM
  • Parking on both sides of George Street, from Falmouth to Prince Street, is limited to motorcycles only.

Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Charlotte Street, from Wentworth Street to Falmouth Street, is closed to traffic. , 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
