At approximately 11:40 PM on July 26th, an unmarked Cape Breton Regional Police vehicle was involved in a collision on St. Peter’s Road, just past the intersection at Beech Street.

Travelling south, the police vehicle collided with the mini van in front of it, while attempting to avoid that vehicle’s sudden left-hand turn. The collision sent the police vehicle off the road, striking a metal pole and rolling onto its roof.

Both vehicles received extensive damage, but there were no injuries to either of the two male occupants in the police vehicle or the lone male occupant in the mini van. The CBRPS Traffic Safety and Forensic Idnetification Unit continue to investigate.
