Just before midnight, a resident of an apartment building on Wellington Street (Halifax) called 911 to report two males were attempting to break into the storage units in the building's underground parking.

It appears the pair observed the caller and were scared off. Responding Patrol members observed a male departing the area who fled when he saw police. A foot chase ensued, with the fleet footed officers eventually apprehending the male near the Saint Mary's football field. The 21-year-old Halifax man will appear in court today facing break and enter charges.
