A man faces charges in connection with a robbery in Halifax yesterday evening.
At 7:15 p.m. police responded to a robbery at Lawtons Drugs on Duffus Street. Staff reported that a man entered the store and demanded drugs from an employee. The male fled the store and was pursued by a security guard. The suspect produced a knife and was able to get away. Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section arrested a man without incident at approximately 12 a.m.
Thirty-eight-year-old Steven James McSween of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
